Project – Eco-Tourism & Hospitality Development Project – Shai Hills, Accra (2024) By Index World Group – Asian Freelance Environmental Specialist – Shai Hills, Accra – Ghana (Supported by Index World Group (Project Oversight and Execution), and a Private Canadian Investor)
This initiative was designed to develop a sustainable, eco-conscious hospitality facility catering to international and local tourists seeking immersive experiences in Ghana’s natural heritage zones. The project integrates green construction principles, community participation, and environmental conservation into every phase.
Led by Mr. Raymond Kusorgbor, Index World Group delivered full-cycle project support:
Identified suitable land around Shai Hills for eco-development, managed due diligence, legal verification, and complete acquisition process and secured local authority clearances for land usage
Provided advisory support for eco-conscious architectural layout, integrated natural ventilation, water reuse, and solar integration into planning and sourced and evaluated contractors for sustainable construction
Developed the full project budget, cost analysis, and ROI models and monitored financial planning to maintain cost-efficiency and quality assurance
Coordinated with local community leaders for inclusive development and ensured youth involvement and cultural alignment in design and branding
Maintained continuous updates to the Canadian investor and provided progress reports, issue resolution, and post-site evaluations
This facility will serve as a replicable model for future eco-hospitality projects in Ghana and across West Africa, backed by the potential for carbon credit certification and international eco-tourism partnerships.
